Ladies and gentlemen, the New Year begins, let us bless each other: 'Give Life a Chance'.

If you are working in the dialysis centre or dialysis patients, you will find what life is so fragile. Indeed, is the fragility of life, or the person's will to live is weak, leading to lost of the love one around us.
What are the reason causing people to give up his life?
Below are the causes that I named it as '3F', which is:
  • Frustrated
  • Fearful
  • Failure
Dialysis patients, you may be going through the three stage below, may be just half way or at the beginning of the 1st stage.

1st Stage: Frustrated
Patients cannot accept reality and be frustrated.

2nd Stage: Fearful
Patient's fear about the future, loss of job and money.

3rd Stage: Failure
Patients loss trust and fail to do any work.

Patient Support Group (PSG) is a patient-centric organization that will work towards the betterment of all kidney patients in Malaysia, regardless of whether they are seeking treatment at dialysis centres housed in government, private hospitals or NGO dialysis centres.

In order to help the patients, PSG organized talks regarding kidney disease, health, diet and nutrition in the past. This year and the future, PSG will include more activities such as:
  1. Information on management and treatment of kidney disease
  2. Counseling session
  3. Peer support group
  4. Dialogue between nurses and patients
  5. Recreational activities
  6. Annual get-togethers
The purpose of the activities is to create a Friendly environment, to improve the relationship between Family members, and to increase Faith in ourselves.

Our body needs balance in nutrition, energy, etc to be in good condition. Our life also needs balancing, and PSG is helping you to balance your life.

'Give Life a Chance' will be Patient Support Group's theme for this year.

I always believe that if you give up your life, even the best doctors can not help you. Please help yourselves in helping others.
