Care Giver - Patient Forum

The Patient Support Group (PSG) Committee takes great pleasure to invite patient (inclusive family members) and staff from Dialysis Centre around Klang Valley to attend the ‘Care Giver – Patient Forum ’. Herewith we enclosed a copy of the “Care Giver – Patient Forum Leaflet” for your perusal.

The event will be held at NKF-Berjaya Resource Centre located at 70, Jalan 14/29, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

If you a patient, and you are doubt whether you receiving quality care, or you are a care giver who wants to know how a good care giver should be, come and joint the event on 25-Nov-2012 (Sunday) starting 9am.

Registration is require for the food preparation for lunch. To register, please send an e-mail to psg20one0@gmail.com before 19-Nov-2012 by stated your name and contact number. You may also fax your detail to Ms. Shoba / Mr. Mah (PSG) at 03-7957 7328 / 03-7954 0535.

腎病洗腎最有效‧過來人：勿隨便接受傳統治療

（雪蘭莪‧八打靈再也11日訊）腎臟病患者伊言彼特傑克森鼓勵病人接受洗腎治療，切勿道聽途說，接受民間的傳統治療師的“治療”，因為唯有洗腎，才能有效的減輕病情。

腎臟移植者分享風險
今年46歲的伊言患有遺傳性腎臟疾病，4年前花光所有積蓄到中國接受腎臟移植，在回國的第二天即出現排斥的現象。

伊言是與4名接受腎臟移植的病患，今日在國家腎臟基金會舉辦的“每位腎臟移植者需知”的講座會上，與腎臟病患者分享腎臟移植的程序及風險。

其餘4名演講者是李振和、孔繁莊、陳秀琴和陳勁峰，吸引全國各地區的腎臟病患者出席聆聽。
53歲的李振和向出席者詳盡的道出自己在患病十余年來的人生經歷。從在他擁有第一所房子後，獲知自己患病時的絕望，一直到以堅定的意志接受洗腎治療，並在接受腎臟移植手術後如何維持健康的飲食。
“我的兩名雙生女兒是讓我勇於接受治療的支柱。”

而孔繁莊則一再提醒出席者在接受洗腎治療期間不要暴飲暴食，在移植手術後可能出現的後遺症及所必須禁口的食物。

腎臟病患者支援小組主席蔡尚萬表示，該基金會總部一個星期為80多名腎臟病患者提供洗腎服務，並在全國各地設有約24所的洗腎中心。
